May 9, 2008 It's been a while since I've updated this site, but I've got some great news... The Cass County Visitor's Bureau web site is now online! After over a year of planning and 6 months of work, it is now up! I've got a few small things to tweak, and there will be some changes made soon, but everything is functional. This was the most complex site I've ever built, so I'm pretty proud of it. So check out visit-casscounty.com and tell all of your friends! It's got so many cool features that set it apart from all of the other web sites in Cass County. In other news, I finished the Linda Klinck for State Senate web site a few weeks ago. It's pretty sharp. I've got some other sites I've just started working on, so stay tuned. Also, about my Web Portfolio section of this site - I'm taking the link down for now as I update some things. February 29, 2008 Hello out there. My newest web site for the Med Flory Jazz and Blues Festival is now online! Go check it out at http://www.floryfest.org. I think it looks mighty fine! Also, I should be launching two new web sites by the end of March -- the Cass County Visitor's Bureau and Linda Klinck for State Senate. I'm definitely excited to unveil these sites, so I'll be sure to let you know when they go live. The CCVB site is the biggest, most in-depth site I've ever built, and I think it's coming along great. January 16, 2008 Hi everyone. I will be making a few changes to the site very soon. I am working on updating my resume tonight, and I plan on adding in an actual Contact page, with a PHP form like on a few of my other sites. In other news, as of this month, I am now a member of the Cass County Arts Council. The committee already has many wonderful members, so I am honored to be among such great company. I hope I can add another perspective and help to make exciting events happen in Cass County, and also help promote all the hidden talent we have in the community. Also, my band, In The Face Of War, will be doing a small tour throughout the middle of the country, so watch out for us if you're not from Indiana. Thanks for stopping by. September 20, 2007 Hey folks. I just got this site online at about 3am. My old site was unbelievably out-of-date and was not practical at all. Hopefully this will make more sense to you. If you've ever seen my old site or banner or business card, you may have noticed a stupid little series of 3 boxes that I called a logo. That is long gone. I opted for something that... uh... made a little bit of sense. The theory behind my new logo is this: - First, take my name, Matthew Nelson. Add in my middle name and break it down into my initials. You get MTN. - MTN = Mountain, maybe? I don't know, but it sounded good to me. - Notice the M shape? So that's that. Anyway, I hope you like the new site and the new logo. If you are at all interested in rendering my services, send an email to matthewtnelson@gmail.com. I'd love you build you a web site, or come up with a sweet logo like I did for myself. Oh, and also -- please forgive the incompleteness of this site and how out-of-date my resume is. I'm working on some other projects that have simply taken all of my time.
